July Updates

Hi everyone! Here are some reminders and updates for you as we plunge into July. It's hard to believe how quickly summer is flying by, isn't it?

Where is God Asking You to Serve?

As we get ready to move towards practicum, I want to encourage you to pray about how you can serve during the upcoming CC year. There are several areas where we need willing hearts and hands to pitch in...
  • Community Planters - Are you a veteran CC mom/dad who is looking for a way to bless other families? Then you might be a perfect fit for the Mountain View community. We want to give Stephenie a big support system as she starts a new community this fall. She could always use a few veteran families to help her get things off the ground - specifically, she needs tutors! If you're interested, please let me know or contact Stephenie directly.
  • Yearbook Coordinator - We need someone to help us create a yearbook for the coming year. Will you help?
  • Hospitality Helper - Would you be willing to make sure there is a fresh pot of coffee brewed every Monday morning for the parents? Would you help provide refreshments on open house days or tutor appreciation day?
  • Prayer Team - Would you commit to pray for the families in our community on a regular basis?
  • New Family Mentor - Would you be willing to come alongside of a brand new CC family and help them get familiar with the program by offering one-on-one support during the first semester?

Practicum - Win a Fun CC Prize Pack!

The Hickory community is hosting a drawing and a winner will be chosen on the last day of practicum. The winner will receive a basket of goodies from the CC bookstore, a CC t-shirt, and a few other surprises. You'll receive one entry for each day that you attend practicum, plus an extra entry for each child you have enrolled in camp. You'll also receive another entry for each friend you bring with you to practicum.

Practicum - Help Needed!

It's a long standing tradition at practicum to provide a free lunch to all of the childcare workers and their kids. To make this a little easier, each community pitches in. This year, the Hickory community is in charge of bringing lunch sides on Tuesday, July 26. We need to bring chips, fruit, drinks, and desserts for around 25 people. If you would be willing to bring something, please let me know.

Tuition Reminder and Payment Method Update

All tuition will be due on the first day of practicum, July 25. One major change- from now on, please make all checks out to "Classical Conversations" instead of directly to me. I have changed banks and set up an account under the CC name for our community.

Openings for New Families

Several of you have asked if we are still completely full for this fall. We've had some ebb and flow as families decide where they will go this fall, but as of right now, we only have one open spot in Foundations. There are still spaces available in Essentials and Challenge A so spread the word!
